Ben Loves Volcanos

Ben got this volcano model for his birthday.  These two went through a gallon of vinegar and a whole box of baking soda yesterday making eruptions!! Not sure how the grass will look in a few days :)

Home for a Visit

We got back yesterday from a fun visit to Gastonia.  Grandaddy took us all out to T-Bones on the Lake!

Mimi treated us to a visit to the Schiele Museum...

And we had fun with Pop, celebrating his birthday :)

Last night we try our hand at homemade ice cream. You put the ingredients in the bag, and put it in another bag with ice and rock salt. Shake shake shake, shake shake shake, and Poof! You have ice cream-in-a-bag :)

Happy Fourth!

We had a very fun Fourth of July this year!  Swimming at the pool for SIX hours!! The kids were pooped and went to bed early...maybe we'll make the fireworks next year :)

Mimi's Visit

Mimi came for a few days, and Ben and Anna were in heaven!!  We went to the donut factory (Krispy Kreme), the Hands On Museum, shopping, swim lessons, played in the yard, and lots more.

Hanging out on the deck before dinner.  Mommy got four mosquito bites (with bug spray on, 2 through my clothes!), Mimi and Anna got zero, thankfully.
